StatusPilot was built by Ryan Manley, a finance professional in Charlotte, NC — and a lifelong points obsessive. The idea came from a frustrating pattern: spending an hour manually checking 14 different airline loyalty programs every time a flight needed booking, only to find out after transferring that another program offered the same seat for 30% fewer points.

The problem isn't that people don't care about maximizing their points — it's that the tools to do it properly don't exist in one place. Generic valuations like "1.5 cents per point" ignore the route you're actually flying, the cash price on your specific date, and the transfer partners your cards actually give you access to.

StatusPilot fixes that. It pulls live cash fares from Amadeus, cross-references every transfer partner in your wallet, and ranks every redemption option by actual cents-per-point value — not estimates. If a flight costs $800 cash and 40,000 points through one program but only 25,000 through another, you should know that before you transfer.

StatusPilot is a side project — built nights and weekends by one person, not a team of engineers. That means it moves fast, stays focused on what actually matters to points enthusiasts, and doesn't have a growth team optimizing it against your interests. New programs and features are added regularly based on real user feedback.
